John Kennedy made Feng Suave’s new single ‘Venus Flytrap’ his X-Posure Hot One, premiering the single on his Radio X evening show. John has been a supporter of the band since their debut EP which came out earlier in the year.

The second single from She Drew the Gun’s new record has been moved up to the A List this week. ‘Something for the Pain’ is now the second A Listed record from the new album, ‘Revolution of Mind’, out now via Skeleton Key Records, and comes alongside the news of the album being highlighted as one of the station’s albums of the year.
‘Revolution of Mind’, the second album from the Liverpool four piece She Drew The Gun, has been chosen as one of the Top 10 Albums of the Year by BBC 6 Music presenters. The announcement was made today with Shaun Keaveny and 6 Music News.

New single from Sunday Best signing, Plastic Mermaids, was added to the X-Posure list this week. This is the first single from the Isle of Wight collective for a little while and marks a stunning return. The track, upon its release, was highlighted by John as his X-Posure Hot One, meaning John supported the track every night that week.
Following the band performing a studio session for John Kennedy earlier this Autumn, Lusts have been added to the Radio X X-Posure List this week. ‘True Romance’ is from their second record, ‘Call of the Void’, out now on Blinky Watts. John has always been a big supporter of the band.

The new single from Beans on Toast ‘Another Year’ was added to the X-Posure List on Radio X this week. Beans on Toast is a big favourite across the board at Radio X and the X-Posure List addition comes just several weeks before Beans is in interview with Maz Tappuni on the Communion Presents show. 
‘Something For The Pain’, the second single to be released from She Drew The Gun’s second record ‘Revolution of Mind’, was added to the BBC 6 Music playlist this week. This come’s after the exciting announcement that the new record was included in the Top 10 Albums of the Year as selected by 6 Music presenters. This is the second playlisted single from the record, following the A Listed lead single ‘Resister’, and a live studio session with Steve Lamacq.
Annie Mac played the brand new single from Nilüfer Yanya, ‘Heavyweight Champion of the Year’ on BBC Radio 1 last night. Annie has been a fan of Nilüfer for a while, supporting her right back at the start of her career, and BBC in particular have been a big supporter, with Huw Stephens and BBC introducing inviting her out to perform at their stage at Reeperbahn Festival, Steve Lamacq and 6 Music inviting her out to perform at their stage at SXSW and adding her to BBC Sound of 2018 poll longlist last year.

This feature highlights artists that may be new to listeners but a band that will hit the big time in the next few years. Toma from the band was in conversation with Jack, talking about their current single ‘Doomsday’, which Jack played.

Naomi picked several tracks to listen to following the play of current single ‘Marrow’ and discussed Naomi’s forthcoming EP, ‘Wisdom Teeth’, her previous EP, ‘The Moths of What I Want Will Eat Me In My Sleep’ and her inspiration behind such evocative titles for the band and her releases!
