Following the release of his sophomore album ‘The Space Between’, Fyfe was invited in to Radio X studios for an interview with Maz Tappuni for Communion Presents. Maz played recent single ‘Belong’ as well as album track ‘Fault Lines’, as well as talking with Fyfe about the creation of the album, its beautiful artwork and the latest with Fyfe.

Radcliffe & Maconie had the exclusive first play of the new single from Warm Digits, ‘Growth of Raindrops’, which features Sarah Cracknell from Saint Etienne. To accompany the play, Warm Digits were in conversation with Elizabeth Alker for Music News, discussing how the collaboration came about and to discuss generally the forthcoming album.
Their third album, ‘Wireless World’, is out on 4th August via Memphis Industries.

The Surfing Magazines, the garage surf-rock super-group consisting of 2/3 of The Wave Pictures and 1/2 of Slow Club, were invited along to BBC Radio 6 Music in Manchester to perform a session for Marc Riley. The band played three of the tracks from their forthcoming debut album, due for release on 1st September via Moshi Moshi Records; and they also pre-recorded another track for Gideon Coe’s show.

‘We All Hurt’, the new single from Karl Hyde and Matthew Herbert taken from the ‘Fatherland (Original Music from the Stage Show)’ album, has been added to the 6 Music C List. The track is one of a collection of recordings based on the script for Fatherland, a play conceived and written in collaboration by Karl, Simon Stephens and Scott Graham. Fatherland, the show, opened at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre as part of Manchester International Festival 2017.

‘Excellent Musician’, the debut solo album from Wesley Gonzalez, has been selected as 6 Music’s Album of the Day today. Following on from the session Wesley and his band recorded live to air for Lauren Laverne on 29th June, and the release of Wes’ debut solo record the following day, various tracks from the new record will be played across each of the daytime shows today.
‘Excellent Musician’ was released via Moshi Moshi Records on 30th June.
Following on from a flurry of live sessions and interviews, Flamingods were invited along to 6 Music to perform a live session for Vic Galloway who is sitting in for Marc Riley this week. The band played ‘Kewali’ and ‘Mixed Blessings’ from the new ‘Kewali’ EP – out now via Moshi Moshi Records – as well as an older track ‘Rhama’ from their 2016 album ‘Majesty’.

The new Tricky single, ‘The Only Way’, has been added straight to the 6 Music B-List this week. The track has already received support across the station from Lauren Laverne, Chris Hawkins, Steve Lamacq and Nemone.
