Jalen N’Gonda, the young singer/songwriter residing in Liverpool by way of Maryland, US, was invited in to perform a session for The Selector. He performed debut single ‘Holler (When You Call My Name)’, as well as his two latest singles ‘Why I Try’ and ‘I Need You’, which was really well-received on the show, with Goldierocks claiming she has “high hopes” for Jalen and deeming the session “brilliant”.

Jalen will be performing live at London’s Paper Dress Vintage on 5th July.

Flamingods were invited in to the Virgin Radio studios to record a Red Room session for Georgie Rogers last week for her Music Discovery show. The band performed ‘Kewali’ and ‘Mixed Blessings’ from their new ‘Kewali’ EP, along with ‘Jungle Birds’ from 2016’s ‘Majesty’.

‘The Only Way’ is the new single from Tricky, selected by Lauren Laverne on 6 Music this morning as her new Just Added track. It was a world exclusive first play of the single, the first new music from Tricky since the release of his ‘Obia’ EP last year, which was a collection of tracks curated by Tricky from artists he had discovered on his travels.
