This last summer, Polly Scattergood returned with her latest studio album, entitled ‘In This Moment’, a powerful and cinematic, scattered with moments of raw intimacy and delicate soundscapes, documenting various snap shots of life. Like a soundtrack to a compendium of photographs, it is a collection of experiences that come together to create an album.
November 13th sees Polly release ‘Snowburden’, about which she has this to say:
“Snowburden is my alternative take on a Christmas song, a twisted soundtrack to sit awkwardly beneath your mistletoe. A combination of soundscapes, falling decorations, industrial noise, and hazy memories of Christmases that drift in and out of view but finally come into focus on the things that really matter – friends, family, love, and human connection, all of which are things that feel very poignant this year.”
