The new album by The Go! Team ‘Semicircle’ has been chosen by BBC 6 Music as their Album of the Day today on the day of release. The new album, released by Memphis Industries, features the singles ‘Semicircle Song’ and the currently A-Listed track ‘Mayday’, as well as Radcliffe and Maconie premiered track ‘The Answer’s No – Now What’s The Question?’. Tune in!
The new single from Barbarossa, ‘Don’t Enter Fear’, was Lauren Laverne’s Headphones Moment this morning on BBC Radio 6 Music. She mentioned she was a ‘big fan of his’ and called the song ‘a beautiful new record’.

Ian Parton of The Go! Team was invited in to chat with Stuart Maconie this afternoon on BBC Radio 6 Music. They spoke about the forthcoming album, ‘Semicircle’, which is due for release on 19th January via Memphis Industries, talking about the recording process, the inspiration behind some of the tracks, and Ian’s methods of creation.

‘Serve The Rich’ by PINs and ‘Semicircle Song’ by The Go! Team were included in a selection of tracks picked by Radcliffe and Maconie as their Best of 2017. Both tracks have been heavily supported by the show, especially ‘Serve The Rich’, which was added to the BBC 6 Music playlist, and both artists have been in interview with Radcliffe and Maconie (The Go! Team will be on the show tomorrow).
Nilüfer Yanya was picked as one of The Selector’s Ones to Watch for 2018 shortlist. The Selector have been very supportive of Nilüfer throughout her career so far, and described her ‘Plant Feed’ EP as a “masterpiece”.

Last night, Huw Stephens selected Nilüfer Yanya, who Huw has been very supportive of from her debut single, as one of his Alternative Tips for 2018 as played on his BBC Radio 1 show. Nilüfer Yanya was towards the end of 2017 picked as one of the BBC Music’s Sound of 2018 nominees and 2018 looks to be her biggest year yet, building on her breakthrough year last year, which included support slots for The XX, Broken Social Scene and Julia Jacklin, being playlisted at 6 Music, and chosen as a showcase artist for BBC Music Introducing at Reeperbahn Festival.

The new single from Warm Digits, ‘Growth of Raindrops’, featuring Sarah Cracknell of Saint Etienne, was added to the BBC 6 Music B List this week. The track follows on from Warm Digits’ previous single ‘End Times’, which was also playlisted towards the end of 2017 and featured Peter Brewis of Field Music. The track is included on their current album ‘Wireless World’, which was released via Memphis Industries.

The Surfing Magazines were invited in to perform for BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends programme, as hosted by Clive Anderson. The band performed ‘Goose Feather Bed’, a track from their debut self-titled album, released a little earlier in the year.
