‘Heartbreak’, the brand new album from Unloved, released last Friday on Heavenly Recordings, is today’s 6 Music Album of the Day. Each of the daytime shows will pick a track to support across the network in celebration of the new release. Unloved curated the soundtrack to the BBC hit series Killing Eve, and the trio features David Holmes on production duties, Keefus Ciancia on instrumentation, and Jade Vincent on vocals.

Zane Lowe furthered the great support at Beats 1 for Nilüfer Yanya’s debut album campaign this week by supporting her new single ‘In Your Head’ in his Breaking Section. Zane has supported Nilüfer previously and noted alongside the support that he “just loves that record”.

On the back of the release of Odetta’s latest album ‘Old Rockhounds Never Die’, Marc invited Odetta in to perform various album tracks live to air and to catch up on her latest activity, including a sold out date at London’s Roundhouse supporting This Is The Kit and her forthcoming European tour. Odetta performed ‘Sweet Teeth’, ‘Widow’s Peak’ and non-album track ‘Good Socks’.

To continue the fantastic support across 6 Music on Rozi Plain’s new album this far, Lauren Laverne had the first play of Rozi Plain’s new single ‘Conditions’, premiering the track in her While You Were Sleeping feature. This highlights the track as something that has just arrived from a returning artist that is really exciting and to keep an eye on.

This is the second time she’s played the track on the show, and is a good addition to the fantastic support we’ve received so far on the campaign, from the likes of Phil Taggart, Amy Lamé and John Kennedy.

Unloved were invited in for a chat on the release of their second release ‘Heartbreak’ to chat to Mary Anne Hobbs about the story of Unloved, the project belonging to DJ / Producer David Holmes, vocalist Jade Vincent and composer / producer Keefus Ciancia. To celebrate the release David Holmes also performed a live mix for the show, playing tracks that influenced the recording of the album, and as well various tracks that were on the band’s stereo in recent months.
